How can I purchase a book?
To order single copies or quantities of our professional references and textbooks, simply follow these easy steps.

Please provide us with the book's order number, quantity, and price for each book you would like to purchase. Total the amount of your order and add a $5.00 handling charge. (Please note: Purchases in California and New Jersey are subject to tax. Please add applicable state and local tax.) Shipping charges may apply. Enclose a check or money order or write in your credit card information.

Is it safe to use my credit card number over the Internet?
If you are going to use your credit card on the web, you want to be sure that the web site uses the latest encryption technology. Sites such as the SLACK Incorporated web site employ the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), the industry standard in online encryption, to safeguard your sensitive information. SSL translates all your personal information, including your name, address, and credit card number, into tiny bits of code that cannot be read by other parties. Secure sites place a small icon of a lock in the bottom right corner of your web browser for quick identification.

For additional safety, unless you have previously disabled it, a message box will pop up when you first enter a secure site. By clicking on this button, it will bring you to a help screen containing details about the security on the site.

Can I return a product?
Unless otherwise noted, we offer a 30-day return policy for SLACK products. If for some reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return the product, in resalable condition, within 30 days for a full refund less the shipping and handling costs.

Do you ship internationally?
For your convenience, we have distributors that represent SLACK in most regions. View a listing of our distributors. Should you find your country is not listed, please contact SLACK Incorporated for shipping costs.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Your order will leave our warehouse within 3-4 business days. In the U.S., it will be shipped via Media Mail or Bound Printed Matter through the U.S. Post Office. You can expect delivery 10-15 business days once it leaves our warehouse.

We can also ship your order via Priority Mail through the post office which takes 2-3 business days for delivery after it leaves our warehouse. We also offer a variety of Express Shipping Options including Three Day, Second Day and Overnight Delivery, dependant on the shipping location and time of order placement. How do I submit my manuscript idea for consideration for publication?
We invite you to share your publishing ideas with us. To review the information we need in order to decide if we would like to pursue your material for a publication, please review our Proposal Guidelines.

I am an instructor and am interested in a book for a class I teach. May I have an adoption review copy?
We welcome faculty requests. To serve you in the best way possible, we ask that your book request be in writing on school letterhead by one of the following criteria:

  1. Adoption Review Copy - We are happy to provide Adoption Review copies of our textbooks to educational programs. Just send a request for an Adoption Review Copy to us. Be sure to include the course name and number, enrollment, and term. You will have 30 days to review the book and return it to us if it is not adopted for your class.
  2. Desk Copy - When orders for adopted books have been placed with your bookstore, complete a Desk Copy request form (usually provided by your bookstore), and we will send you your complimentary copy for instructional use. Please note: An Adoption Review Copy previously sent is considered a Desk Copy upon adoption. It is our policy to provide one Desk Copy per every 25 students who purchase the book.

I am using one of your books for a class I teach, but haven't received my desk copy. What should I do?
If you haven't received a book you requested, please call 1-856-848-1000 or email educomps@slackinc.com. We will work to rectify the problem as soon as possible.

I am having problems with my order. Who should I contact?
If you are having any problems with an order, please contact Customer Service.

Is it possible to contact the author of one of your books?
We cannot provide direct contact information to our authors, however if you would like to contact one of our authors, you can fax, mail, or email any question to SLACK Incorporated and we would be happy to forward your message to them for you.

May I have permission to use copyrighted material?
All SLACK Incorporated publications and products are copyrighted; therefore, you may not make copies of any part of a book without prior permission from the Publisher. If you wish to reprint or copy material from a SLACK Incorporated product, you must submit a formal request for permission, which may be done online, via fax, or mail.
