Barbara L. Kornblau, JD, OT/L, FAOTA, DAAPM, ABDA, CDSM, CCM
Barbara L. Kornblau, JD, OT/L, FAOTA, DAAPM, ABDA, CDSM, CCM, is a professor of occupational therapy and public health at Nova Southeastern University, North Miami Beach, FL. In her private practice, she provides consulting services to business and industry, attorneys, and others. A practicing attorney, she specializes in disability discrimination and related issues. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Miami School of Law, she has published numerous journal articles, book chapters, and other works on the Americans With Disabilities Act, medical-legal issues, ethics, consultation, and work rehabilitation.
Shirley P. Starling, JD, MHS
Shirley P. Starling, JD, MHS, is an attorney in private practice in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Ms. Starling received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Health Science degrees in occupational therapy at the University of Florida, and her Juris Doctorate degree at Nova Southeastern University. She has 25 years of experience as an occupational therapist in mental health and served on the faculty of the undergraduate program at Florida International University and the graduate program at Nova Southeastern University. She has provided professional and community educational programs on both occupational therapy and legal issues.
